WALKING CITY

(1995-2008)

Walking City evokes the modernist gaze of the flâneur. The city is both a room and a landscape, where the outward experience of the urban is ultimately an inward experience of self-reflection.

There are twelve sets of images: Windows, Sky, Sleepers, Corridors, Flowers, Walls, Streets, Profiles, Hands, Pushcarts, Snow, and Crosswalks.

Individual images are available as gelatin silver prints, and the project as a whole is also worked into a 12 channel video presentation, as well as a 23 minute video.
